The information requested in section
2.015 of part II; section 1.025 of part III, sections 1.011, 1.02,
1.03, 2.01-2.04, 2.06-2.13, 3.01-3.03, 3.06, 3.07, 4.01, and 5.05
of part V; section 1.03 of part VI; and appendix B is required to
enable the Office of the Assistant Commissioner (Employee Plans and
Exempt Organizations) of the Internal Revenue Service to make
determinations regarding the issuance of various types of closing
agreements and compliance statements. The issuance of closing
agreements and compliance statements allows individual plans to
favorable tax treatment of the benefits of the eligible
employees
