Terms of Clearance: The burden of this peport of DBE awards accounts for only a small portion of the burden associated with Departmental DBE requirements. OMB fully expects that before revisions of final regulations revising the existing DBE regulations are put in place that the Department will make a submission anlyzing the burden of the changes being put in place relative to the exisiting burden of the program. This issue was highlighted in last year's review of the Department's "Information Simplification Program" and a committment was subsequently made by DOT's Counsel's Office. In approving this renwal, we wanted to remind the Department of this committment.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
