The information collected on form
SSA-2574 is used by the Social Security Administration to determine
whether a joint bank account should be counted as a resource of a
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claimant or applicant in
determining eligibility for SSI. The respondents are applicants for
and recipients of SSI payments and individuals who are joint owners
of financial accounts with SSI applicants/recipients.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
