Abstract: This rule covers State and local employees who perform asbestos abatement activities. It requires employers to report hazards of asbestos abatement projects, to train employees about the hazards of asbestos, to monitor employees' exposure, and to provide medical surveillance. It also requires employees to maintain records of these activities.
