This study evaluates the prevalence of lead in prenatal and post-partum African American and Hispanic women and its possible role in elevating blood pressure in their subsequent pregnancies and to compare associations of three biomarkers of body burden of lead (whole blood lead, serum blood lead, and bone lead) with elevated blood pressure.
