The NIOSH Alert is a publication
designed to document the scientific research about a specific
occupational health or safety hazard and provide recommendations
for assessing, avoiding, or reducing the hazard. These Alerts are
mailed to workplaces/workers most likely to face the hazard.
Despite its importance, the Alert has never been pretested or
evaluated. This sutdy will help evaluate the Alert's effectiveness;
learn how to best communicate to different populations; and test
different health communication strategies to increase the general
effectiveness of the Alert.
