On 8/10/98, the Commission released a public notice that explains how "nonchecklist" applications will be processed for DTV station construction permits. The public notice explains what should be included in engineering showings, other application exhibits, and cover letters. The public notice should help to resolve processing uncertainties, enable the preparation of complete and quality applications, and hasten the authorization of DTV service. The data provided will be used by FCC staff to ensure that interference to other DTV and and NTSC stations is minimized.
