that is intended to inform future validity research in this area.
In addition, with regard to the subsample of African Americans, the
single data point renders the resulting information gathered highly
exploratory; the agency's use of the results of data gathered shall
be limited to hypothesis testing in future work.

The proposed data collection will
obtain information on the validity of recall on prostate and
colorectal cancer screening tests. Members of three prepaid health
plans will be interviewed by telephone, and medical records will be
abstracted. Information from this pilot study will allow the
program to explore whether screening rates can be determined from
sel-reports and whether future studies are warranted.
