The information contained in FERC-555 is required to be retained by parts 125, 225, and 356 of the Commission's regulations. These records are retained in order to be reviewed by Commission staff during audits and periodic compliance reviews. These records serve as the basis for required rate filings and reports submitted to the Commission. The proposed rule in RM 99-8-000, if adopted, should result in substantial reductions in burden for retaining records required by the Commission.
