Infant formula labeling and infant
formula quality control procedures are necessary to assure that
nutrient levels of infant formula are declared on the label and
meet the requirements of the Infant Formula Act. Information will
be collected from manufacturers of infant formula that is marketed
in the United States. The regulations affect formula manufacturers
by maintaining a standard that ultimately benefits consumers by
protecting the health of infants.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
