The Federal Power Act Part 203 requires that public utilities file for approval of dispositions of jurisdictional facilities, mergers with other parties, or acquisitions of public utility securities. RM98-4-000, Final Rule Revises the filing require- ments in Part 33 of the Commission's regulations. The Final Rule affirms the FERC's screening approach to mergers that may raise horizontal competitive concerns and identifies specific filing requirements consistent with the Appenix A analysis al- ready established in the Merger Policy Statement.
