requires that public utilities file for approval of dispositions of
jurisdictional facilities, mergers with other parties, or
acquisitions of public utility securities. RM98-4-000, Final Rule
Revises the filing require- ments in Part 33 of the Commission's
regulations. The Final Rule affirms the FERC's screening approach
to mergers that may raise horizontal competitive concerns and
identifies specific filing requirements consistent with the Appenix
A analysis al- ready established in the Merger Policy
Statement.
