Form 1031 is filed by licensed small
business investment companies (SBICs) for each completed financing
of a small business concern. The information provided is used by
SBA to evaluate regulatory compliance and consistency with the
public policy objectives of the SBIC program. In addition, the
information is used in the aggregate to analyze the overall
economic impact of SBIC financings.
