Terms of Clearance: This package is cleared as the 2001/2002 Field Test only. ED is required to submit an 83-C with details about the 2002/03 field test. At that point, ED/OMB will discuss the need (if any) for conducting the 02/03 test. OMB will have at least 30 days to review the 02/03 field test package. After the 02/03 field test, ED is required to submit another 83-C with details about the changes to the questionnaire for the full-scale study. OMB will have at least 30 days to review the full-scale study package.

Abstract: The NCES will use the field test to access data collection procedures that are planned fo rthe next full-scale SASS in 2003-2004. Policymakers, researchers and practitioners at the national, state and local levels use SASS data which are representative at the national and state levels. Respondents include public and private school principals, teachers and school and LEA staff persons.
