Randomly selected adults in the U.S.
will be interviewed by telephone about their knowledge,
perceptions, attitudes, and practices related to two FDA-regulated
products-dietary supplements and food. The information will help
the agency ensure proper performance of its functions by (1)
enhancing the agency's understanding of consumer knowlege,
perceptions, attitudes, and practices, (2) enriching deliberations
of the agency's regulatory and educational initiatives, and (3)
helping the agency track trends in consumer knowledge, perceptions,
attitudes, and practices.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
