In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved of for
three years. However, the agency must submit a revised form,
through a change worksheet, that reflect their agreement to
eliminate the collection of social security numbers and to revise
the form to allow minority farm owners to register but opt out of
the agreement for USDA to release their information to
organizations other than USDA.

The form is a sign-up form for the
Minority Farm Register, which is a program that will provide the
names and addresses of minority farmers, land-owners, tenants, etc.
to community-based outreach organizations, State and local
governments, educational institutions and others that provide
information on FSA programs. The form gives the Agency permission
to release the information for that purpose.
