been funded by Congress for 3 consecutive years, thus, the
information collection requirements have been approved for 3 years
as requested. If the program is not funded or otherwise
discontinued, the agency should request that OMB retire control
number and the associated burden hours. Also, if the rural
broadband grant program application is not available over the
Internet by the time of the agency's next submission the agency
must explain why this program has not been made to comply with the
Federal Government's centralized E-Grants initiative.

This collection will continue to be
used for the Broadband Grant Program to provide broadband
infrastructure to extremely rural, lower income communities on a
"community-oriented connectivity basis.
