Following the
election, EAC will undertake three efforts that are currently
impracticable due to time constraints. First, EAC will develop,
send to OMB for review, issue (if found feasible) a collection to
assess problems with voter identification, voting information, and
provisional voting. This collection should occur no sooner than 200
days after the election. Second, EAC will undertake, as above, a
new collection of information on polling place information such as
sample ballots, instructions for first-time voters, voting rights
information, and instruction on how to vote. Third, EAC will assess
the feasibility of and State and local burden associated with, the
future collection of information on ballot length and paper
ballots. This should include informal assessment of impact these
issues had or may have. EAC will develop these new collections in
conjunction with OMB and OIRA's Statistical Policy and Standards
branch.
