In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for period
of six months. As soon as possible and no later than the next
request for OMB approval, the agency must update all software to
comport with Federal guidelines for collecting data on race and
ethnicity. They must also verify that the burden estimate accounts
for any burden that might be in gathering the individual data that
is submitted in aggregate form to USDA. Finally, the agency must
clearly specify how the information being collected is used to
evaluate program performance and provide copies of any material or
analysis of program performance that use this data.

The CYFAR funding program supports
community-based programs serving children, youth, and families in
at-risk environments. CYFAR funds are intended to support the
development of high quality, effective programs based on research
and to document the impact of these programs on intended audiences.
The CYFAR Year End Report collects the demographic and impact data
from each community site in order to conduct evaluations of impact
of the programs on intended audiences.
