The Office of
Justice Programs should report via email to OMB on the
effectiveness of the incentives paid to the schools, teachers, and
respondents - report should be within 12 months of study
completion. Future evaluations and research studies should seek to
minimize burden on teachers as well as to minimize incentive
costs.

Two substance abuse prevention
programs for middle school and alternative high school students
will be evaluated for effectiveness by independent evaluators,
potentially establishing them as effective programs. Middle schools
and high schools will be asked to assist in study
implementation.
