The FCC should
provide a written summary to OMB of the comments received relative
to this collection and the process the FCC is using to assess and
respond to those comments by 05/2007. The written summary should
specifically address comments from other governmental entities
(federal, state, local, and tribal) or any other organization or
individual on duplicative information collection requirements. The
summary should also note efforts the FCC has made to avoid
duplicative information collections. The summary should also
include any information gathered by the Katrina task force that
addresses duplicative information collection requirements and
recommendations made by that task force in regard to this issue. A
copy of all comments received on this collection should accompany
the summary document.

This NPRM addresses recommendations
presented by the Independent Panel reviewing the impact of
Hurricane Katrina. The goal of this proceeding is to take the
lessons learned from the disaster and build upon them to promote
more effective, efficient response and recovery efforts, as well as
heightened readiness and preparedness in the future.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
