John,
Per
our conversation, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is
requesting the withdrawal from OMB review of DEA information
collection 1117-0004: Application for Permit to Export Controlled
Substances. This collection will expire April 30, 2008.
This collection is being revised as part of implementation of the
Controlled Substances Export Reform Act of 2005 (Pub. L. 109-57).
DEA published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, including proposed
revisions to information collection 1117-0004, proposing
implementation of the Act on October 18, 2006 (71 FR 61436).
DEA is working to draft the Final Rule based on comments received.
DEA does not anticipate that this draft will be provided to OMB for
review for a couple of months. Therefore, DEA is requesting the
withdrawal from OMB review of the subject information collection.
DEA will submit this collection to OMB with the Final Rule package.
