This information collection of
personal background data on job applicants is used for planning and
assessing affirmative employment program initiatives for ensuring a
diverse workforce at NARA. Applicants are requested to provide, on
a purely voluntary basis, information on their race, ethnic origin,
gender, and disability to help ensure NARA personnel practices meet
Federal personnel law requirements. No job applicant is required to
furnish any data on his/her race, gender, ethnic origin, or
disability to receive employment consideration.
The number of applicants varies
from year to year. Vacancies in the National Archives and Records
Administration are advertised on OPM's USAJOBS, which has resulted
in an increase.
