Other changes** In March 2006, HUD requested a revision to the form HUD-92902 to add language to ensure that homeowners are informed and can certify to their knowledge that the counseling session may be paid for from HECM loan proceeds as well as to indicate the amount of the fee of the counseling session on the form. HUD does not currently have that authority and now wishes to reverse that approval and remove the added language. A new proposed rule will give HUD the authority to add the language back, and HUD will request addition of the same language at a later date. A copy of the form with the highlighted language to be removed is attached.
