This collection provides the location at sea of U.S. flag and certain foreign-flag ships for (1) Search and Rescue (SAR), and (2) the marshalling of ships for national defense and safety purposes.
The total number of U.S. flag ships reporting to MARAD has increased from 176 to 183 since the last PRA submission three years ago, resulting in an increase of the total annual hours.
