The OGE Form 450 serves as the uniform executive branch report form for the confidential financial disclosure system as set forth in OGE's branchwide regulation at subpart I of 5 C.F.R. part 2634 for both the designated regular employees and special Government employees.
US Code:
5 USC app.sec. 107(a)
Name of Law: Ethics in Government Act of 1978
EO: EO 12674 Name/Subject of EO: section 201(d)
EO: EO 12731 Name/Subject of EO: null
Explanation for adjustments to the reduction in burden:
1.) Estimated total number of annual private citizen filers (3-year average) declined 2002-2005; 2.) Prior OGE estimates mistakenly included private citizen filers of the OGE Form 450-A and of alternative forms, approved by OGE, that are used in certain executive branch agencies and departments. New burden estimates more accurately reflect the work involved by private citizen filers in completing the OGE Form 450; 3.) Changes in OGE regulations effective Jan. 1, 2007 reduce amount of information collected, other design changes make the instrument easier to complete, thereby reducing private citizen filer hour burden from previous 1.5 hours to 1 hour.
