The Gallup Organization is conducting on behalf of the Bureau of Labor

The information is being collected for the Housing Survey of the Consumer
Price Index (CPI). The CPI is the country’s most widely used measure of
inflation and is used to adjust such things as Social Security payments to about
48 million Americans and lunch prices for about 27 million school children.
