This reinstatement represents a substantial increase in the burden imposed on States to submit performance information for Assistive Technology grants. Although the majority of this burden increase can be attributed to statutory requirements of the reauthorized AT Act, RSA will continue to look for ways to decrease the burden imposed on respondents.

This data collection will be conducted annually to obtain program and performance information from NIDRR state assistive technology grantees on their project activities. The information collected will assist federal NIDRR staff in responding to GPRA. Data will primarily be collected through an internet form. The data instrument will be the basis for developing an electronic, web-based data collection system into which Statewide AT Programs report annual data.

The agency now has a new manner of collecting data based on additional experience, and input from the states. Since we have broken the tiny performance measurement survey and customer satisfaction survey into separate instruments, the public burden is distributed this way and is the still the same burden.
