CADDRE stands for the Centers for Autism and
Developmental Disabilities Research and
Epidemiology. Six sites were formed across the US for
this study to better understand child development and
look at possible risk factors of developmental delays
and ASDs.

The National CADDRE Study:
Child Development and Autism

The CADDRE study will include nearly 2,000 children
and their parents. This is the largest national study on
ASDs and developmental disabilities to date.

What will you be asked to do?

Answer questions about your child’s
development and your family’s medical history
Allow us to do a brief exam and perform
developmental tests on your child
Give small samples of your and your child’s
blood, cells from inside your mouthg, and
your child’s hair
Give us access to the mother’s and child’s
medical records

Who can be part of CADDRE?
The CADDRE studies are being done in six
sites in the U.S.
