JUSTIFICATION FOR BURDEN CHANGE
Form 1120-SF
Settlement funds can request a credit or refund of the telephone excise tax (as authorized by Treasury in Notice 2006-50). The credit will be a write-in on line 16f of Form 1120-SF and is applicable only for the fund’s 2006 tax year. On pages 3 – 4 of the 1120-SF Instruction, guidance was provided on how to request the refund or credit.
As a result of these changes, an addition of one (1) code reference and one (1) line item were added, increasing the total burden hours to 27,330.
