The Corporation for National and
Community Service supports days of service, such as Martin Luther
King, Jr., Day of Service, Make a Difference Day, National
Volunteer Week, AmeriCorps week, and other Days of Service as part
of their National Service Act(42 U.S.C.(s)). To support the success
of these service days, the Corporation for National and Community
Service seeks to help promote service and volunteering potential
participants through voluntary online project registration. Service
Day projects, whether funded by the Corporation or not, will be
able to register their projects, indicate if they need additional
volunteers, and list specific project details. The information
collected will be used to post the projects on the Corporation's
Service Day web site www.nationalservice.gov and to contact these
projects to provide support materials such as toolkits and
posters.

The Corporation for National
and Community Service supports Days of Service as part of the
National Service Act (42 U.S.C.(s)). Previously, this form was only
used for the Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service. Based on the
information received from the collection, and the success of the
Days of Service, the use of the project registration form will be
expanded to include many other Days of Service including Make a
Difference Day, National Volunteer Week, and AmeriCorps week.
