Subject Data sharing regarding the Colorectal Cancer Screening Demonstration Program (CRCSDP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ICR#, 200703-0920-006, (0920-05CJ)
To Catina Conner, Assistant Reports Clearance Officer, OMB, Confidentiality and Privacy Act Management
The Colorectal Cancer Screening Demonstration Program (CRCSDP), a program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), was initiated to explore the feasibility of establishing a colorectal cancer screening program for the underserved U.S. population. The purpose of the CRCSDP is to reduce colorectal cancer morbidity and mortality among the low income, medically under-served by providing community based screening and diagnostic services. The CRCSDP involves 5 cooperative agreement awardees in various settings across the U.S.
There are no plans to make CRCSDP clinical data available as a public-use dataset.
In the event that the program is expanded nationwide in the future, CDC will establish a data sharing agreement that will include the following:
Review and approval of all data sharing requests by a multidisciplinary CRCSDP Team at CDC
Require CDC collaboration and written approval prior to presentation or publication of analyses
Well-defined restrictions for use and presentation of data
