The NFA Course Evaluation Form is used
to evaluate all traditional classroom based course deliveries. The
data provided by student evaluating NFA courses is used to
determine the need for course improvements and the degree of
student satisfaction with the training experience. All on-campus
resident courses will use an online electronic form and all
off-campus courses delivered at the state and local level will use
a paper-based version of the form.
This information collection
retains the statistical methodology and target population character
approved for the same information collection 1660-0032 in the
current OMB Inventory. However, since OMB Collection 1600-0031 was
discontinued and merged into this collection (see #1., #4. and #12
of the Supporting Statement Part A for details) the estimate of the
size of respondent universe is increased by 1250 (students), who
previously were respondents of OMB 1660-0031. The increase of 800
in the adjustment demonstrates the number of students of Academys
State Weekend Program, which is actually an on-campus program, but
previously had been counted in the off-campus number of
respondents.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
(v) Nature and extent of confidentiality; and
(vi) Need to display currently valid OMB control
number;
If you are unable to certify compliance with any of
these provisions, identify the item by leaving the box unchecked
and explain the reason in the Supporting Statement.
