The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) has granted approval of your project entitled “Regional Needs Assessment Survey.”
The IRB is satisfied that the proposed research falls under an exempted category according to federal policy for the protection of human subjects. Specifically, the research involves survey procedures with practicing educators. The project will not involve direct research with children.
The effective date of this IRB approval will begin May 11, 2007 and will extend for a period of exactly 12 months. All project activities expected to extend past May 11, 2008 must undergo and annual review and must receive a second year approval from the IRB committee.
