The proposed rule takes comment on an option requiring monitoring of exposure levels of the chemical n-propyl bromide with minimal record-keeping to demonstrate compliance with the health-based exposure limit. No reporting would be required. By keeping this information, end users would be able to demonstrate compliance with the use condition in the case of an inspection by EPA. Primary responders would be businesses that use n-propyl bromide as a cleaning solvent, an aerosol solvent, or a carrier solvent in adhesives.
