Cost Sharing State Plan Preprint Pages
Terms of Clearance: The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) strongly encouraged CMS to update the State preprint pages to clarify terms, update citations as needed, and remove references to HCFA.
CMS Response: We agree with OMB’s general recommendation that CMS revise its State plan preprint to clarify terms and update citations. However, CMS is not prepared to do so at this time and we have the immediate need to issue these pages, as the policies they implement are already effective. We note that the references to HCFA and MSA under “Revision” are important as they indicate when the documents were first issued.
In addition, when States submit outdated pages, CMS works with them to make any necessary changes to come into conformance.
