Subject: Request for Expedited Processing of Emergency OMB Clearance – Potato

Cyst Nematode; Quarantine and Regulations

APHIS is requesting emergency review, processing, and approval of an information collection activity that is needed in connection with the efforts of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to prevent the spread of the Potato Cyst Nematode (PCN) to noninfested areas of the United States.

This interim rule will establish new regulations to prohibit or restrict the interstate movement of regulated articles from quarantined areas of Bingham and Bonneville Counties, ID.

Establishing these regulations will require the completion of compliance agreements, import permits, and a certificate of inspection by respondents.

APHIS is requesting approval of the paperwork clearance package by August 1, 2007.
