The focus groups are part of a study
for DoD intended to understand the reasons why more providers do
not participate in the TRICARE Extra or Standard programs and to
then provide recommendations to increase the number that do
participate. The focus groups will build on a survey of providers
and their staff conducted annually across the country that ask a
limited number of questions pertaining to their views on the
TRICARE programs. the additional questions that may be asked during
the focus groups will help us understand why problems may exist and
what to do about them.
