census, it is important that everyone be counted.
Your answers are confidential and protected by law—every Census Bureau employee has taken an oath and
is subject to a jail term, a fine, or both if he or she discloses ANY information that could identify you or your
household. The information you provide can only be used for statistical purposes. This law also requires you
to provide the information requested (Title 13, United States Code, Sections 9, 141, 193, and 214).
