This ICR examines PWS, primacy agency,
and EPA burden and costs for recordkeeping and reporting required
in support of the chemical and regulations. These rule which have
recordkeeping and reporting requirements that are mandatory for
compliance with 40 CFR parts 141 and 142 include the following:
Stage 1 Disin- fectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule (Stage 1
DBPR); Chemical Phase Rule (Phase II/IIB/V); Unregulated
Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR), Lists 1 and 2; 1976
Radionuclides Rule and 200 Radionuclides Rule; Total
Trihalomethanes (TTHM) Rule; Disinfectant Residual Monitoring and
Associated Activities. This ICR also presents the burden and cost
impacts of the Short Term Regulatory Revisions and Clarification to
the Lead and Copper Rule (LCRSTR).
Increase in burden is due to
programmatic change. LCRSTR finalizes 7 regulatory changes to
strengthen implementation in areas of monitoring, customer
awareness, and lead service line replacement.
