The industry requested that USDA issue
livestock and meat trade reports for livestock, beef carcasses,
boxed beef and pork cuts, calf, lamb, and meat by-products in
making marketing decisions and as a guide to the amount of meat in
the supply channel.
Since the last submission there
is an adjustment increase in burden of 4,620 hours. Packers are now
required to report their mandatory information to the branch. As a
residual effect of this change, the packers are also providing the
voluntary information resulting in the respondent increase.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
