Our records indicate that you obtained a Sandhill Crane Hunting Permit this past hunting season. We are now asking you
to provide information that we need for sound management of sandhill cranes, by telling us about your crane hunting
activity. Your response is important EVEN IF YOU DID NOT HUNT OR DID NOT SHOOT ANY CRANES.
Please read the instructions on the attached hunting diary fornl, fill it out completely, and send the completed form back
to us in the enclosed postage-paid envelope. Please report ONLY YOUR OWN PERSONAL hunting activity and harvest.
If you didn't hunt sandhill cranes at all this season, please mark the box in the upper right corner of the form and mail the
diary back to us.
The identification number and associated bar code in the lower left corner of the form enable us to log in your response
as soon as we receive it. This lets us avoid the extra expense of sending you reminders after you have already sent in your
response. To protect your privacy, we will not associate your name with that identification number, or your hunting diary,
after we have completed the survey.

Migratory Bird Treaty Act (16 U.S.C. 703 et seq.). We will use the information that you provide in estimating migratory bird hunter activity and harvest in the United States. It is
our policy not to use your name for any other purpose. We will remove all names and identifying information when we compile the results, and will report only summary
information. We maintain the information in accordance with the Privacy Act. Your response is voluntary. An agency may not conduct or sponsor and a person is not
required to respond to an information collection unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. OMB has approved this information collection and assigned control
number 1018-0023. We estimate that it will take you about 5 minutes to read the instructions and complete the hunting record. Comments on this form should be mailed to

attached letter. Record the number of sandhill cranes you personally bagged; DO NOT include birds shot by
other people. Please include ALL of your hunts for sandhill cranes; if you did not bag any birds during a hunt,
record zero (0) bagged for that day.
