U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN COMMENT ON PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE SEMI ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE RURAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND CHILD VICTIMIZATION ENFORCEMENT GRANTS PROGRAM DATED 7/18/2007

The U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence (OVW) solicited public comment on the Semi-annual Progress Report for the Rural Domestic Violence and Child Victimization Enforcement Grant Program (Rural Program) in accordance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act and a 60 day notice was published in the Federal Register on July 18, 2007. OVW received one comment that addressed the connection between firearm possession and violence against women. The federal register notice addressed the extension of a previously approved data collection from OVW grantees of the Rural Program. OVW did not respond to the public comment as it was not related to the subject of the federal register notice.
