Your 2010 Decennial Census Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) Program materials
should arrive within the next two weeks. To ensure the security of the Title 13 data, the
Census Bureau’s address list is contained in an encrypted, self-extracting file. To open this
file, you must enter the case sensitive user-name and password listed below. The readme file,
provided on the CD-ROM with your LUCA address list materials, provides detailed instructions
on how to open files and documents the file formats.
If you do not receive your LUCA materials within the next two weeks, or if you encounter any
problems opening your address list file, please call your Census Bureau’s Regional Office at
1–866–511–LUCA (5822).
