JUSTIFICATION FOR NONMATERIAL OR NONSUBSTANTIVE CHANGE

1018-0093

OMB approved the renewal of 1018-0093 in November 2007. When we submitted the ICR for renewal, we mistakenly omitted the following question (contains four responses) concerning the import of birds from FWS Form 3-200-46:

  1. FOR IMPORT OF BIRDS ONLY:

a. Provide your primary addresses where you resided for the last full year consecutively.

__________________________________________ From _________To_______

b. Provide documentation to show you have continually resided outside of the United States for at least one (1) year (e.g., employment records, utility bills, etc).

c. How many exotic birds have you imported in the last 12 months? _______________

d. I understand that the purpose for which these birds is to be imported is as my personally owned pet(s) not intended for sale.

The above question was included in the FWS Form 3-200-46 approved by OMB in 2004. In addition, we included the burden associated with these responses in our estimates for this last renewal approved by OMB in November 2007.

A revised form including the above question is uploaded in ROCIS. Since the omission of this question was a clerical error and there is no change in burden, we request approval of this updated form so that we may collect the necessary information from the public.
