You must have some experience with using health surveillance maps.
The interview will be no longer than 60 minutes and participants
will receive $75.

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) is currently looking for individuals with a background in public health or epidemiology to participate in a research study evaluating health surveillance map formats for the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. We are interested in learning the strategies map users engage in when attempting to locate survey data presented on geographical maps.
Participation in the study requires one hour of your time and you will be compensated $75. The study will include completing a questionnaire using a series of maps, followed by an interview, in which you will be asked to recall the strategies you used to locate information on the maps.
We are looking for individuals, with at least a bachelor’s degree, who have a background in public health or epidemiology. Participants should have some experience with using health surveillance maps.

Subject: The Questionnaire Design Research Laboratory Needs Your Help
The Questionnaire Design Research Laboratory (QDRL) is looking for public health professionals and epidemiologists (with at least a bachelor’s degree) who have experience using health surveillance maps, to participate in a health surveillance map study.
The study will examine the effectiveness of presenting health data on maps using different styles of map formatting for the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The study will include completing a questionnaire using a series of maps, followed by an interview, in which you will be asked to recall the strategies you used to locate information on the maps.
The interview will take approximately one hour. Participants will receive $75. NCHS employees participating in the study will not be eligible for the $75 incentive.
