The following were the terms of clearance for the last OMB package CE submitted:

TERMS OF CLEARANCE:

BLS will include a PRA burden statement on the

diary instrument in the next printing. BLS will provide a

report to OMB on the results of the incentive test in the

interview survey and obtain OMB approval prior to

implementing an incentive beyond the test period or testing

an incentive in the diary survey.

BLS has complied with the terms of clearance.

BLS included a PRA burden statement on the diary instrument printed 7-1-2005.

BLS is in the process of analyzing and compiling the results of the CE interview survey incentives test. BLS will provide the report of this analysis and the results of the test to OMB as soon as it becomes available. If the test is determined to be a success, BLS will request OMB approval to implement interview incentives in production.

BLS received approval to implement a diary survey incentive test on 10/13/2005. The test is still on going. BLS will provide the report of this analysis and the results of the test to OMB as soon as it becomes available. If the test is determined to be a success, BLS will request OMB approval to implement diary incentives in production.
