The e-Health Initiative is an independent organization that develops tools to help agencies improve their Health IT and Health Information Exchange. Their website provides a toolkit to guide states, regions, and communities in developing and implementing Health IT programs.
Health Resource & Services Administration (HRSA) Office of Health IT
Provides general information on Health IT initiatives across the country, as well as a forum for communities and agencies to exchange ideas and information related to their experiences implementing Health IT.
NASMD Multi-State Collaboration for Medicaid Transformation

Health Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP)
HITSP is the national body responsible for identifying, evaluating and recommending technical standard for interoperable health information exchanges. This site provides information about the current standards recommended and the process for advancing such standards
Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT)
CCHIT is an independent, voluntary, private initiative and a recognized certification body (RCB) for electronic health records and their networks. This site contains information about certification criteria, the process for obtaining certification and the electronic health records products (and in the future, network services) that have received certification supportive of interoperable standards for health information exchange.
