 The purpose of the Center for Information Technology is to provide, coordinate and manage IT and to advance computational science in the health care field. This site contains a knowledge library on a variety of technical topics, from data warehousing to IT security.


Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS): Information Technology Page

 Provides resources on data applications and database administration, and information to help agencies with initiation, implementation, and operation of Medicare HETS User Interface (UI) and HETS 270/271 - Extranet Transaction Submission.  The e-Health Initiative is an independent organization that develops tools to help agencies improve their Health IT and Health Information Exchange. Their website provides a toolkit to guide states, regions, and communities in developing and implementing Health IT programs.

NASMD Multi-State Collaboration for Medicaid Transformation

Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT)

    • CCHIT is an independent, voluntary, private initiative and a recognized certification body (RCB) for electronic health records and their networks. This site contains information about certification criteria, the process for obtaining certification and the electronic health records products (and in the future, network services) that have received certification supportive of interoperable standards for health information exchange.
