This ICR is not covered by any specific section of the CFR. This is a voluntary initiative that is based on the Bioterrorism Act. The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives passed the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act (“Act”) of 2002. The Act requires the development and implementation of a strategy to respond to bioterrorism and other public health emergencies. This ICR will enable NHSRC to obtain information from vendors which can be used to respond to an incident of national significance.
