PL:
Pub.L. 110 - 161 (Division K)
Name of Law: Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2008
The burden has increased by 6,308 hours from the previous submission. The increase is due solely to adjustments. Specifically, FRA revised all its estimates in the Supporting Justification, essentially doubling the original estimates, because it now anticipates that it will likely receive 14 grant applications and other necessary supporting documents over the next year, instead of receiving seven applications and other necessary supporting documents per year over a two-year period.
The current OMB inventory shows a total burden of 6,309 hours, while the present submision exhibits a total burden of 12,617 hours. Hence, there is a burden increase of 6,308 hours.
There is no change in cost to respondents from the previous submission.
*** Please note that the cost to the Federal Government for this information collection doubled for the same reason: FRA expects that agency employees will be reviewing grant 14 applications and other necessary supporting documents over a one-year period (instead of seven applications and other necessary supporting documents each year for a period of two-years).
