The U.S. Census Bureau has been requested to produce accurate, relevant statistics about Compact of Free Association (COFA) migrants from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau as defined by the COFA Amendments Act of 2003. We recognize that it is your information that we collect to produce these statistics.

No Social Security Numbers or Employer Identification Numbers
No telephone numbers

Violating the Law is a
Serious Crime
If anyone violates this law, it is a federal crime; they will face severe penalties, including a federal prison sentence of up to five years, a fine of up to $250,000, or both.
Other federal laws, including the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act and the Privacy act, reinforce these protections.
